Thankfully, I'm not reduced to two word sentences this week - though I remember hearing about an assignment (maybe one of my kids had to complete?) where the whole composition had to be written in three word sentences - and I've always thought that would be interesting/challenging/cool to do. For another time? Yes.
Speaking of my kids, today is my son, Jack's, 19th birthday! He's a freshman at Taylor University in Upland, IN (Jack swears the locals pronounce it UP Land - could that be true?) and we drove over last Sunday to see him and celebrate. Here's a photo of both Jack and Abby giving me cheesy smiles as I make them pose in my usual embarrassing way (hey, you have to capture these moments - they go by quickly!). So HAPPY BIRTHDAY, JACK!
Though I have an almost empty refrigerator, the inch of milk left in the gallon container expires today and I don't have dust bunnies under my sofa I have dust monsters (that's how big they are) - we had a week of amazing pickups only surpassed by the week of amazingly gorgeous weather. So here's what's "new" at EmilysBreakfast Furniture:
Super clean, nice pink floral love seat for $95; matching sofa for $135
Beautiful Ethan Allen swivel chair and ottoman (now I don't remember if the chair rocks) for $125
Table, two leaves and six chairs for $165; matching china cabinet for $135
Nightstand for $45; matching six drawer dresser for $75
American of Martinsville tall armoire/dresser for $95; matching long, low dresser with mirror for $85 (lighter photo taken with flash - the darker one more accurately shows color of wood)
Queen size headboard, foot board and side rails for $145 (can you see the basket weave pattern in the headboard?)
King size headboard and frame for $75 (second photo is label on the back of the headboard)
Extra clean - though dated pattern - love seat for $40; matching sofa for $65
Love seat or chair and a half in green microfiber for $135
Red and blue striped sofa for $150
This is a collection we received from a design company in Chicago of Sauder furniture which they used in a photo shot. Since Sauder can no longer sell the furniture as new - they authorized the design firm to donate the pieces -and that's how they got to be at EmilysBreakfast Furniture. You can find the whole set at http://www.sauder.com/ (it's under their Office Port collection and the color is "dark alder") and retails for a grand total of $2,400.92. I'm going to try to sell the pieces together as a complete office suite (just add a desk chair) for $1,000 - less than half the retail price. This is never been used furniture. Already put together and ready to load in your vehicle and go home with you. How much easier can you get?!
