YIKES – my computer shut down while I was in the middle of writing this post – so now I’m a little worried and want to get this post upload ASAP.
Remember we’re open today from 1 to 8 and tomorrow from 9 to 4.
Next Friday I’ll have a special treat – Olga’s afghans! Gorgeous hand-crafted afghans made by one of the fabulous seniors who lives in the area and is connected at our center in Carol Stream. To see the selection of afghans Olga created last year, click here and scroll down.
What follows are photos of some of the amazing furniture donated this week:
excellent condition Bassett sofa priced $325
this is a fabulous loveseat that you have to see in person to appreciate – I couldn’t find a manufacturer’s label but it’s got the clean lines of a Crate & Barrel piece or Room & Board – priced $175
funky café height glass top table with modern metal legs – priced $175; swivel stool is $65
glider w/glider ottoman – upholstery needs to be spot cleaned – priced $65 for the set
this is two pieces of a three piece sectional – so you have to be a bit creative – but it’s priced only $50 for both (one side of one piece has some rips/dirt – otherwise in great condition)
I love this gloss black lacquer table that extends to 94’ when you add the four leaves (also comes with table pads – leaves and pads are shown tucked under table in these photos)
blue micro-suede sofa for $95; lovely glass and metal square end table priced $40 each
there’s something about the style of these four wooden chairs that is very appealing – all four need to be refinished (or painted) but solid wood – priced $100 for the set
the sun has faded these pieces so they almost don’t look like a set – but there’s a Thomasville table, 2 leaves and 4 chairs – priced $165; Thomasville two piece lighted china cabinet is $225
cool three piece corner computer desk – trim along the corner piece is warped otherwise in excellent condition – priced $60
so sweet maple dresser with mirror – priced $135
bunk-beds include: two bunky boards (thin box springs), ladder and side rails that protect a child from falling out of bed – priced $135 for all
lovely king-size pine headboard for $60
sweet dresser – name the elephant knobs – his famous line is, “A person’s a person no matter HOW small.” Priced $85
there’s a dresser at the foot of this amazing queen-size head board, foot board with metal side rails (actually the Horton dresser)– so you can’t see the foot board but it’s similar to the head board – priced $125
twin-size bed over futon (opens to a full? queen? I forgot to measure, sorry!) priced $145
very nice six drawer chest of drawers priced $135; matching rolling night stand for $35
Room & Board sofa – seen better days but structurally in great shape – priced $10
lovely floral sofa – sorry the two photos are basically the same – priced $175
I love all the different patterns on this lovely sofa – priced $245
pleather sofa priced $35; matching loveseat $25
table with a self storing leaf and four chairs – tops needs a little work but overall a very sturdy and nice set – priced $145
fun rolling cart – missing one of the corner knobs – priced $30
sweet upholstered small bench – priced $15 (Tara?)
